On 25 April, Cambridge will host the grand opening of UBWIS CLUB Cambridge — a business club for Ukrainian women entrepreneurs in East England.
The event will take place at Anstey Hall, a 17th-century historic manor built around 1685 by Anthony Thompson on the site of an earlier medieval house. Over the years, it became a family home for the Thompson, Anstey and Foster families, holding generations of stories within its walls. During the Second World War, the building was used by government institutions.

For one day, Anstey Hall will become a meeting point for women from Cambridge, London, across East England and Scotland, who are interested in developing their own projects, building partnerships and expanding professional connections.
UBWIS CLUB presents itself as a community for women who think ambitiously, value the quality of their environment, and seek growth — both in business and in their personal lives.
The opening programme will include:
— a presentation of the club by its founder, Anna Andriievska
— talks by partners from Cambridge and London
— a panel discussion titled “Ambition Without Borders: how to build a business and a name in the UK”
— immersive networking
Guests will also be offered refreshments from event partners and a professional photoshoot.
The dress code is Business or Cocktail elegance.
The event will run from 12:00 to 16:00. Organisers note that the venue is approximately a 15-minute taxi ride from Cambridge railway station, or a 30-minute bus ride (PR3). Free parking will be available on site for those arriving by car.
Tickets are available via the link, with special conditions offered to club members.
More information about the club can be found on its official website and Instagram page.
