A new educational initiative, “My Teacher”, has been launched in Ukraine, offering school students structured learning support without relying on traditional tutoring. The project allows children to study at their own pace and achieve meaningful results. A personal teacher helps fill knowledge gaps, supports motivation, and builds an individual learning structure, providing guidance and regular feedback.
The new online project “My Teacher” introduces a different approach to learning — not intensive one-to-one tutoring sessions, but continuous guidance throughout the process of mastering the school curriculum. Its main goal is to help students in Years 5–11 close knowledge gaps, understand complex topics, and learn how to study independently.

At the core of the model is a personal teacher who creates an individual learning plan, tracks progress, and holds regular consultations. Each student receives weekly study blocks combining theory and practice, which can be completed at a convenient time, without a rigid schedule.
The project operates on the MyClass platform — a Ukrainian digital learning platform with a large database of tasks, used by thousands of schools and recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
A key feature of the initiative is its focus on understanding rather than memorisation. Students are guided in identifying weak areas, understanding their mistakes, and gradually building the confidence to apply knowledge in practice.

Svitlana Pylypchuk, a senior-category teacher and author of educational materials for children and educators, highlights the importance of this format:
“This is a wonderful initiative. Children have the opportunity to learn, improve their grades, and at the same time learn how to learn, thanks to the qualified guidance and support of experienced teachers. This format works for both those who are already able to study independently and those who are only beginning to develop this skill and need support — consultations, guidance, a structured plan, and help with correcting mistakes. In other words, it provides learning support rather than tutoring. The initiative is genuinely strong and much more affordable than traditional tutoring.”
According to Svitlava, this format can be particularly valuable for families for whom private tutoring is too expensive or difficult to fit into a busy schedule.
In this way, “My Teacher” offers an alternative to the traditional model of learning — one that is more flexible, accessible, and focused on long-term results rather than short-term exam preparation.

“The first step towards a child’s success is finding a mentor who believes in them as much as you do.”
